GR: Ken Levine and his team at Irrational Games are undoubtedly some of the brightest minds in the video game industry. A few years ago, the studio revolutionized game design and storytelling by creating an underwater dystopia known as Rapture, the chilling setting of the original BioShock. Instead of taking the easy route and milking that deep sea universe for all its worth, Irrational decided to spend the next five plus years working on a completely new game world, just as rich with detail and narrative intricacy. And so BioShock Infinite was born.

Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Publisher: 2K Games
Developer: Irrational Games Ken Levine and his team at Irrational Games are undoubtedly some of the brightest minds in the video game industry. Set not in an underwater prison but rather a traveling city in the sky, BioShock Infinite not only provides a drastically different setting for players to explore, but also a whole new undercurrent of political and religious intrigue. In this way, both the game's landscape and inhabitants work in seamless conjunction to bring the sky-bound city of Columbia to life. The original BioShock was praised for its incredible storytelling techniques due primarily to Levine's unparalleled writing skills. Twists and shocking revelations had gamers talking about the experience long after its launch, and BioShock Infinite promises to deliver that same jaw-dropping narrative experience. Putting players in control of Booker DeWitt, Irrational has made it clear that this time around the game's characters are just as important (if not more so) than the world they inhabit.

BioShock Infinite Season Pass, DLC Plans Detailed

Added: 21.02.2013 15:00 | 75 views | 0 comments

BioShock Infinite fans will have a chance to continue their adventures in the floating city of Columbia thanks to a newly announced BioShock Infinite Season Pass. Irrational Games and 2K Games are planning three DLC drops that "will provide hours of additional gameplay and continue the player’s journey in the sky-city of Columbia with new stories, characters, abilities and weapons." Remember that BioShock Infinite has no multiplayer or co-op modes, so any add-on content will likely be purely story-driven. Season Pass holders will also receive the Early Bird Special Pack, containing four pieces of exclusive gear, Machine Gun and Pistol damage upgrades, a gold skin for both of those weapons, and five Infusion bottles that offer players the choice between boosting their health, shield, or Salt (used to power Vigors) capacity. BioShock Infinite launches on March 26, 2013, and the Season Pass will be available that day as well for $19.99 / 1,600 MS Points.

BioShock Infinite Trailer Acquaints You With The Lamb Of Columbia

Added: 19.02.2013 16:00 | 75 views | 0 comments

Watch Larger Version | Watch HD Version Irrational Games has its marketing machine cranked up to 11 now on BioShock Infinite, with a new trailer to greet you today only days after the latest 'Truth From Legend' mockudoc appeared. This 'Lamb of Columbia' trailer is all about Elizabeth and her unique role in the floating city of Columbia. This trailer is much more straightforward than the neat Truth From Legend shorts have been, but there's not much to complain about. BioShock Infinite is in stores on March 26, 2013 -- delayed a full month from the release that had been previously set -- and any fresh look helps to cut down on the pain of waiting.
